Prayer In The Father's House.

“Wist, ye not that I must be in My Father’s house?”  (Luke 2: 49).
Our Lord’s childhood was not immature manhood; our Lord’s childhood is an eternal fact. Am I a holy innocent child of God by identification with my Lord and savior? Do I look upon life as being in my Father’s house? Is the Son of God living in His Father’s house in me? He abiding Reality is God, and His order comes through the moments. Am I always in contact with Reality, or do I only pray when things have gone wrong, when there is a disturbance in the moments of my life? I have to learn to identify myself with my Lord in Holy Communion in ways some of us have not begun to learn as yet.

Voiding God's Grace

Galatians 3:1-5

In verse 3 of today’s passage, the apostle Paul raises a probing question for all who have believed in Jesus Christ for salvation. He says, “Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?” The subtle shift from confidence in Jesus to confidence in the flesh (or self) can all too easily go unnoticed.

How to Develop a Heart for God?

Psalm 119:9-16

What is your response when you read that David was a man after God’s own heart? (See 1 Samuel 13:14.) Many of us look up to him as a spiritual giant and think to ourselves, I could never be like that.

But the Lord hasn’t reserved this title for just one man. He wants all of us to seek Him as David did. One of our problems is the tendency to focus on just part of his story. We tend to forget that the scriptural account gives a record of David’s lifetime. He had to begin pursuing the Lord the same way we do—one step at a time.

Life of Light and Darkness

“If, therefore, the light that is in thee, be darkness, how great is that darkness.” (Mathew 6:23)
Well if I just write it like this, “If, therefore, the darkness that is in thee, be light, how great is that light.” Life of man normally is a mixture of light and darkness. Still the life of a number of persons is totally dark; but the life of a few persons is all light. Jesus warns man against darkness (Luke 11: 35). Man considers his light as the real light of life, but his supposed light is actually all darkness, and if all his supposed light is not light but only darkness, then all his life is full of total darkness.

The Hidden Life

Your life is hid with Christ in God.” (Col. 3: 3).
The spirit of God witnesses to the simple almighty security of the life hid with Christ in God and this is continually brought out in the Epistles. We talk as if it were the most precarious thing to live the sanctified life; it is the most secure thing, because it has Almighty God in and behind it. The most precarious thing is to try and live without God. If we are born again it is the easiest thing to live in right relationship to God and the most difficult thing to go wrong, if only we will heed God’s warnings and keep in the light.

Prayer

Dear Friends,
When you pray, are you confident God is going to answer? Or do you wonder if He even hears you? Is your prayer life fruitful and satisfying? Or are your times with the Lord somewhat disappointing, filled with petitions about unmet needs and desires? If you’ve been struggling during your personal devotions, it may mean something is amiss in the way you’ve been communicating with God.

The Necessity of Forgiveness

Jesus Said, “Forgive them, Father! They don’t know what they are doing”.  It may seem strange that the first word of Jesus on the cross was one of forgiveness. It is easily understandable by those who are acquainted with the record of his public ministry. Jesus left no doubt in the minds of his hearers that a spirit of forgiveness is necessary if faith is to be real.
On one occasion Peter came to him. “Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?” he asked; “till seven times?” Jesus did not hesitate. “I say not unto thee, until seven times: but, until seventy times seven.”(Matthew 18:21-22)

Ye Are the Salt of the Earth

1- What is salt? : - In “The Word of God” salt does not stand for chemicals. The spiritual meaning of   salt is the fruits of righteousness and of The Holy Ghost (math. 5: 16). The characteristic of salt is its  salt-ness or savour which stands for the good actions of the believers of Christ.
